No, mileage is stored in the cluster. I got one that was close but you will need to get it changed or get one that is close or live with it being wrong.

I'm choosing to leave it wrong, no plans to ever sell the car.

Yeah I'll have to look. I only have 32k on my car, so that may be tough.

What has to be done to have it changed? Dealer flash or actually changing out a chip?

Just got to flash the car with the ROM today and tested it out. Works perfectly.

I was also talking to a buddy that works at Nissan, and if I get a new cluster they can send it out to re-flash it to my mileage for $50

Please do not PM me asking for info/help/whatever.

I have gotten numerous requests for info on setting this up, regarding the tuner that did my tune and the rom file and I have answered them all promptly and helpfully.

The last straw was a request to see if CC can be added by my tuner without getting a tune.

I spent my time finding out and passed the info on to the requester days ago and he did not have the courtesy to respond that he had the answer forget about thanking me.

I do not appreciate the way people think they can take without returning a minimal amount of courtesy.

im probably bringing this back from the dead but what if you just swapped a base ecu for a ecu with cruise control?

Been suggested. Sure it'll work, an ecu is 100-1000 plus you need the dealer to program your keys so NATS will let the car start which is 100-150 per key depending on the stealer.

Also if you have any mods you should have some kind of computer mod that lets the system know you have made changes to the way the motor flows air/burns fuel.

Many tuners will do just cruise for less than he cost of a tune/license.

ymmv

thanks for the reply. i feel like i can get my hands on a new ecu pretty cheap, but youre telling me that i have to have my ecu recalibrated for my keys. what the sh*t? seriously. dang it. i really dont want to have to switch from utec. i like that they can tune using map pressure as well as using the maf sensor.

well i was getting a little excited until you told me that im going to have the dealer reprogram the ecu for my freaking keys. i wonder if switching ecu will effect any of the tunes that are already on the utec?

well i already ordered the parts required to get this done. my only dilemma now is whether to switch over to uprev and love the ability to have a boost controller and map sensor built into my ems or go to uprev and have to buy a boost controller, pay for a new tune, and pay for the osiris program itself.

i guess im just gonna have to seesaw for a bit until i can find out which option will be cheaper to get freakin cc in my base.

what would you suggest e30???

keep the uprev with the tune i already have with all my data logging software and boost controller/map sensor built into the ems. and just purchase a cc ecu out of a revup 06 and have my keys programmed?

or

buy osiris, get a tune, buy a boost controller and lose the map sensor ability.

in all honesty do you think that osiris is that much more capable. im only making operating in the 400whp area. what would be the true gain of using osiris rather than sticking with what i have.

i really would just like some insight. i read your posts all the time so i have respect for the people who walked the line before i did.

This thread is kind of funny to me. I talked to uprev about this years ago. I checked pinouts on the base and cc models and verified everything was there but the clutch and brake switch. I'm amazed someone did this. Fords are the same way except they have the switches just no steering wheel controls lol.

My 05 base model is stock and I am wondering if I can just buy the switches and then go to the dealer and have them add the file that I need to my ecu? I don't care is the lights on the dash work or not... regardless this is awesome!

This isn't something you can get at a dealer. Nissan wanted to make people buy upline cars.

Good to know. Guess I wont do this then... no plans for an uprev tune if I decide to LS swap it will be a waste of money. Thanks anyway man.

Did u just get a cluster from a 350z that had cruise and did the cruise lights work or did u have to change something. I did the same uprev flash as u and supposedly it had cruise the cluster but none of the lights turn on. Have not torn it apart to see if it actually has led where the cruise lights ones are. Thanks for any help

My touring cluster lights simply worked when plugged on.

Thanks for response. Also what are the led styles u put in the turn signals where the bulb style ones were? I'm changing all my lights at the moment and want to replace those while I have the cluster town apart. Thanks again

I reused the green incandescent bulbs in the turn signals.
