My 350Z's shifter... DISASTER! HELP!
Hey guys. Today, I undid my cars interior to install my radio and speakers, and I saw this...
http://imageshack.us/a/img442/3282/photo2ftv.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img805/9149/photo1ds.jpg My shifter has always been notchy and weird but today I think I found out why! I bought the Z with 80k and it came with this shifter.. It has no spring for the reverse lockout, and I think it's missing the OEM shift plate, right? I have no idea what this is, but I had a G35 before and my shifter didn't look like this... I even took a video to show you how it acts... |
Wow, that sucks. I have always found that aftermarket shifters just don't feel right, I would hit the dealer and get it back to oem asapers.

I want to! Definitely might do that! Thanks! Anyone else got any insight?

Looks like circuit sports short shifter... i could be wrong.

I think I've probably got an OEM shifter still around, from my '08 when it had ~14K miles. Shoot me a PM and I'll look for it tomorrow AM, and you can make me an offer.

Looks like the has been rubbin-some blue metal ground off in 1st/3rd spot

Thanks for the help guys! PMed you K51!

This is funny b/c I have been having a problem with my shifter and I had the OEM shifter with the B&M parts. I was able to go into reverse without pushing down. Scary when driving on the interstate and find 6th at 80...
