Fuel system setup with aftermarket rails
VQ35DE. Currently I have installed the CJM Stage 0 return with factory rails and regulator. I was not expecting to be picking up some rails, but ran into a great deal so I will be swapping out the factory rails. Just curious on a proper setup when using aftermarket rails and return? I have seen guys continue to run the factory regulator, and I have seen guys remove the factory regulator all together.

i dont see how you can run the factory regulator especially since its connected by two bolts to the factory rails and generally on aftermarket fuel rails its connected by AN fittings.
i have a stage 2 CJM twin fuel pump and i use an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with AN fittings. |
I've seen guys put fittings on he hard line that runs to the factory rails. I wasn't sure if there was a reason for it or not.

Factory regulator is in the fuel basket, and it's replaced with blocking piece on every fuel return system.
On the stock rails you have a fuel dampers. It's wise having them on aftermarket fuel rails too. |

I've been sitting here racking my brain trying to figure this out and it never even clicked that's not the regulator. I need sleep. :suicide: Well in that case, I'll be running fittings of the hardline. |
