2006 Nissan 350z Swapped with a 2004 Engine
Hey guys,
I purchased a 2006 nissan 350z with a blown engine because I have fine 2004 VQ35de engine in my storage unit with only 50k miles that I plan on putting into the 350z. The 2006 350z is the Enthusiast model and also it also has a vq but its the rev up model. I was wondering if there are any major issues that will pop up during this swap. I do have the vq35de(2004) engine with its ecu and wiring harness, but as far as that goes will I still be able to "plug" in the engine without having any issues with the driveshaft, mounts, or anything? |
Im 99% sure its a straight plug and play assuming you change the ecu and blah blah blah.

I figured i was just curious, thanks

Yea I think a thread a couple months ago said, motor, ECU and harness is all that's needed to swap.

Where you from in Mass? Did you buy the black car from New York that was on craigslist for like a day?

Don't forget about marrying the ECM, IPDM,BCM and key together. That or disable the NATS with uprev

Obviously the second set of cams will not have the sensors plugged in. I bet you can turn those featured off with uprev and tune it as a normal DE. It's a chance, if not you would need to swap to a 04.5 or 05 ECU and harness
