Default Flywheel Alignment

If the Flywheel is not installed correctly....like the small hole for the CAS is not in the right place......what will happen???????

Im installing a Turbo and the Tranny was dropped and the person that finished it up for me is on vacation...I was at work and one of my friends said they would do the rest and get the tranny back up.....soooooo I dont know if it got done right and I didnt think of it till just now.....

yes, if it isn't on correctly then your timing will be messed up. hard to get it on wrong though, as there is a small dowel on the crank to align the flywheel, but i still have heard of people getting it wrong.

so will the car start if its wrong?? and is the Dowel a actual pin that will insert into the flywheel? Im thinking I have 2 options.....Drop the Tranny and check or if the case is that the car wont even start then just wait and see....

well there is just one dowel and just one extra hole for it in the flywheel. i heard one guy got it on wrong cause the dowel got pushed through and the person obviously didn't know alot about assembling motors and to look for some sort of alignment dowel, so he was able to install out of position like that. honestly, it is really hard to mess it up, lol. i wouldn't worry and just try to fire it up.

I would be shocked if someone messed it up. Only one way to find out...start it up, and see if it throws a code, or runs poorly.

And that dowl pin on the crank makes it nearly impossible to get the flywheel on with the incorrect orientation.
