VQ35DE dogbox
Got a drift competition supercharged Z, manual tranny, I'm searching for a dog box for it. Are you guys aware of any company that makes dog boxes for the VQ35DE?
Thanks
Thanks

There are no production, off-the-shelf dogring gearboxes for the VQ. Of course, there are a host of race gearboxes with straight-cut gears available from Hewland, Quaife, ZF and others, but you'll need to discuss a custom application with your local race prep shop. Have you got $5-10K to spend?

Cheaper alternative, although not dogbox. Less than 1800 USD plus shippping.
There's a dead thread on the Ikeya Shifter here.

No I'm looking for a sequential shifter or even a sequential gearbox. I have built a storkered VQ TT with a Holinger sequential box last year. This year, it's a different car, a new project. Since it's a drift car, the point of a dogbox would be the smooth engagement & avoiding any mis-shifting. Another idea I'm considering is to replace the gearbox with a T56 Super Magnum gearbox as many companies offer dog boxes for the T56.
Are you aware of any vendor that offers swap parts (plate & mounts) to install a T56 on a VQ35?

So what's your budget for such a project? Sequential dog ring boxes are $$$. I've never heard of any company building adaptor kits for the T56 and a VQ, since demand is so limited.

Just take it to a race shop. Ask and tell them what you want and just have them install it.
If you got the money for a comp Z, and a dog box just pay for the shop to do the work and shopping. Dont about the small stuff. It's such a small amount to pay in the grand scheme of what you are already looking at.
