Default CIRCLE D Converters RE5R05A Custom Torque Converter build

Figured i'd share this with those who own an RE5R05A 5spd auto and looking for another torque converter option.

I contacted Circle D Converters in Tx and sent them a factory 2008 Titan (my truck) converter to dissect.

They are building me a custom cnc billet stator designed for my application within the factory converter housing.

Flash speed will be around 3500rpm (not sure on STR).

The factory converter is a 10.5" multi disc lockup as shown below seperated into sections.

Since this is the first Nissan Titan (re5r05a) converter from them, they took on the project and I imagine would be able to do the same for you all.

Mine will be finished within two weeks and i'll go from there to see how I like the outcome.

Factory converter below

Below is the 3D print they made of their custom billet stator design/profile for my converter.

In case photobucket is a di<k

Also, I imagine CIRCLE D would be willing to build a converter for the RE7R01A or B 7spd trans if someone supplied an OEM converter.

I do know the guys over in the UAE (ekanoo racing) have started business with Circle D for their Y62 patrol converter builds, and they used the 5spd and 7spd transmissions

@milenkogt How has the torque converter from Circle D been performing the last few years? Has it been reliable?
I am looking to get an upgrade for my vehicle and the only real options seem to be Edge Racing and this one. Hopefully you are still subscribed to this thread and see a notification about it
