I basically jumped into a engine build head first. I had no previous experience with engine building just wanted to save money so i said f-it i work on aircraft how hard could it be to rebuild an engine.

Let me say this, it's not hard to build an engine! There is just a lot that can go wrong. Also the FSM is worthless when it comes to O-rings and where they go.

It was just overwhelming, there is a lot of little things you have to make sure are 100% good before moving to the next step. Like ensuring the cam bolt is torqued down or else it can snap and ruin a cam.... Using the right RTV, the correct amount of RTV. Cleaning the damn RTV if something doesn't seat right the first time try that is sealed by RTV (EVERYTHING is sealed with RTV)

If you take your time, and have the right equipment building an engine is quite easy.

I just had a bad experience.

I am nowhere mechanic but I can do basic bolt-on mods and maintenance but when it comes to engine rebuild, I feel like it requires knowledge, skills, precision and experience which I do not have so I'd rather take it to a specialist. Trusting someone who would build it for you is another story. This is why a lot of us would rather DIY because it is not easy to trust someone who would do it right, if we DIY and if we messed up at least we won't feel as bad and it becomes a learning experience.

Some times it's better to just to fork the extra money up on the front end. It took me several years a several extra grand to get the engine running problem free. If i would have just saved and bought a longblock i would have been g2g.

changing to a lightweight flywheel, it changed the car entirely - mostly for the worst. Acceleration improvements were negated after a couple weeks and all you are left with is a noisy transmission (especially when cold) and less forgiving shifting. If it's your daily driver, consider heavily before switching to a lightweight flywheel.

Looking into Ageny Power, I'm unaware of their performance but I love the sound they make with the Agency single exit exhaust.

I could've bought an old vette or a 911 porsche... Somehow and for some reason, I ended up with the Z.

I feel as though driving around in a 350z makes a statement (people do notice a small two door car), but nothing compared to a Corvette.

My mistake was shopping for deals to get parts for less money. The labor installing parts is the significant cost. Doing the job more than once because of a faulty part makes no sense.
