Beware Ebay junk parts from racinginparadise

Avoid Ebay seller racinginparadise.

I attached a picture of the short throw i purchased. It last 5 days before snapping in 2 pieces.

The seller refused a refund and will only send a replacement if you provide an invoice from a mechanic for the installation.

I'm not a fan of parts that have catastrophic failures within a week of installation, and I wouldn't risk someone's safety by reselling it either. Unimportant to the seller.

No offense, but this is to be expected with ebay junk. Parts are junk so why would the seller stand behind it?

Non taken. I'm just hoping people can avoid the mistake I made in the purchase. It's one thing to claim some ebay parts are junk, but to show it brings the point home.

To be fair, not all Ebay sellers are as dishonest or avoid responsibility like this one.

This one in particular, refused to even acknowledge that the broken part was a problem.

EBay does have a lot of cheap junk BUT if you do your homework and buy only name brand parts (hard parts, not cosmetic stuff necessarily) from highly rated sellers, there are a lot of "best prices" to be had. Probably half of the wheels I own(ed) - as well as a lot of OEM Benz and Datsun roadster parts - came from good sellers on EBay at good prices vis a vis buying from a dealer. Key word is "homework". Nope, I don't buy anything shipping from overseas and if a seller can't answer questions on the authenticity of what they sell, bye bye.

There are many actual Nissan dealers and specialists who sell on EBay. My S30 was built up using authentic parts from well known sellers and the marketplace was EBay.

I agree. This vendor is in California. I mistakenly assumed that it made a difference.

You have raised a dispute with ebay I assume, I've done that a couple of times always with success. Thanks for the notification.

Ok, very very easy to get a refund when you purchase off eBay and pay with Paypal/Amex. My credit card will refund anything I dispute.
California vender means Chinese seller. Leave negative feedback and they usually refund you and request a feedback revision. As a buyer you have all the power when purchasing through eBay

Hmmmm..... I'm Chinese, live in California, and sell stuff on eBay from time to time. So if I sell something on eBay, I'm truly the evil empire exemplified purveying funky parts. Laff....... :icon17:

Kidding.... but yes, eBay will take quick action on negative situations. Have used them a couple of times and they're swift in their actions. I think it's rather amusing that I live right behind EBay HQ (literally) and wonder if there's someone there that's taking care of my issues. (Or are they in a call center over on the other side of the world.... near the "evil empire". HAR!)

Cheap short shift junk, even the expensive ones break. A few stock shifters have even broken when people get all fast and furious with their ricer style slam shifting
