ITB's Block Oil Filler. Best Fix?

Looking for a good way to fill the engine oil when the top of the engine is basically covered with throttle bodies. The only way I can think of is to JB Weld a 90*dash fitting into the L front camshaft end cover..

photos of current set up?

yes a 90* fitting on the valve cover would work.

If that's true, how will you get access to our convoluted dipstick to even check your oil level? Let's see some pics...

You can fill from dipstick with a custom funnel.

Dip stick is awkward but accessible, a larger size hole would be better though.

Modified metal VQ valve covers with relocated oil fill location. No, I wont sell it lol. Hopefully this helps.

To be honest I was in your situation looking at that. I would probably just have a aluminum fitting put on the timing cover somewhere and Phil The car using the front timing cover. I don't know what you're going to do for a dipstick.

Valve covers are of course plastic so fixing a filler spout to plastic is a big concern as to reliability. I was just wondering what anyone else had done in the same situation, somewhere on the front of the engine seems to be the logical solution.

I'm envious of your ITB setup. Despite being in SCCA racing, I can't use an ITB setup in any of the classes I compete in. I'd suggest having some type of aluminum spout fabricated for the dipstick hole.

This was Jenvey’s solution to your problem.

The Jenvey solution as posted by Kwame looks good, now to find a suitable part, perhaps trawl the wreckers for a suitable fuel filler that can be modified to fit.
