Brian Crower VQ35HR Crankshaft (Heck of a Deal!!!!)
3 Attachment(s)
Hey gents/and ladies, been going back and forth between finishing my project and have decided to move on. I'm gonna let this thing go real real real cheap. So if its not gone soon, I'll be super surprised. I'm shipping this to your front door for $800. I'n all honesty, I'm pissed i'm doing this, but I have a financial hold with my University and won't be getting my degree unless I pay off the pending balance. So, the first one to paypal the asking price to biggersonlopez@hotmail.com gets this at a steal. FYI, this usually sells for $2,700

do you know if this would work with OEM size rods? If i wanted to just throw the crank in on top of my oem size pistons and OEM size rods? or are there special size rods?
also it says HR, would this work with a DE? |
Sorry sir, this will not fit your application. Thank you for your interest though.

Don't you just hate it when school interferes with meaningfull things :p ha GL big guy get that degree and you'll be able to get it again soon. Hell of a deal!
|
so it wont work with stock pistons and rods or it wont work in a de or both?

Stock Specification
VQ35DE 95.5mm Bore x 81.4mm Stroke - 8.440" Block Height Stock Specification VQ35HR 95.5mm bore x 81.4mm stroke - 8.440" Block Height Stock Specification VQ37VHR 95.5mm bore x 86.0mm stroke - 9.780" Block Height With these specs taken from Brian Crower webpage http://www.briancrower.com/makes/nis..._stroker.shtml it seems like they are the same thing for HR & DE. But differ from the VHR. Just got off the phone with Brian Crower, the DE crankshaft and HR crankshaft are NOT interchangeable. They have physical differences that will not allow them to be swapped. |
Alright so, in the future I'd like to do a small build, and want to know. If I buy this now do I have to do the 3.8 bore (and all parts) to install or can I keep the car stock with this crank.
The underlying question to this is because I have a light weight pulley on my crank right now and that thing is a ***** to get off, so if I broke the bolt (holding the pulley on) I'd need a new crank shaft. This would be great if I could keep it stock for now (if I did happen to break the bolt). |
This is not a direct swap for what you are asking. You would have to do everything at once. But, look at the deal, this is a steal. Just keep it in storage until you have all your parts. You can have a stroker kit at less than 1/2 the price.

Is this the BC5227 or the BC5227U crankshaft?
|
It's unbalanced (U), but you would have to get it balanced anyways depending on which rods and pistons you chose.
