I'm embarrassed to admit it...

dont be ashamed....its your car...if u like it go with it...some people just dont like the big stuff on the back...depends how u "rock" the wing...if you can pull it off then great...i dunno just dont get those rims....

heh - those wheels won't be near my car. The reason I'm ashamed is because I've always refused to do 'look' mods (well, except the Morette headlights on my WRX - that *HAD* to be done). I just haven't been able to find out much about this wing (ie, are there are cheaper knockoffs available). No matter how much I like it, I'm not paying $~800+prep+paint for it...

Of course, if I could find out that it actually added downforce, then I might be able to rationalize it :)

Personally I love the v3 kit but from what I understand if you don't do the entire kit the v3 wing is way oversized on a stock Z.

Severed - can you explain a little? What else are you supposed to get? Fenders and rear bumper? Yikes - that's getting ridiculous as far as money goes. I definately won't be doing it if this is the case.

Seriously - anyone have any other pics of this (any color)?

Yes, there are cheaper knockoffs made of it. I don't know what company makes them, but I know they are made. I went in to buy a Veilside V.1 wing from my guy in Harrison, and he asked me authentic or imitation. I asked him to give me prices on both, and a minute later he said "oh, sorry, they dont make the V.1 replica wing, only the V.3 replica"

Srivero - I'll be swinging through that area this weekend. Whats the name of the shop? I'll give him a call get pricing.

Meanwhile - seriously - no one has other pics of this wing on a car?

why not try the v1 wing? its a bit smaller and fits better with the stock body imo. also how much was the v1 wing? ive been looking for one but could only find prices close to 800

yeah - I'm making the trek from VA (current home) to CT (family).

as far as v1 vs v3. pics of that would be great too - the images on http://www.i-m-racing.com/veilverrearw.html aren't great - I'd love to see a full rear view, and a couple different 3/4 shots. sounds dirty :)
