Looking good...I like the rims a lot...are they SSR's? If so which ones?

Z BOY 01-26-2005 02:40 AM

the bpillar overlay adds a subtle distinction, accentuates our windows' sexy curves...very nice.

SvR350z 01-26-2005 03:54 AM

350z just doesnt belong in snow :(

jmaldonado 01-26-2005 04:52 AM

Where did you get the hood struts, and how hard were they to install? Looking good..

350ZTN 01-26-2005 05:45 AM

hood struts

He got the hood struts from me. Send me a PM or better yet email me at vintage_car@yahoo.com for details.

The struts look great, nice clean install!

Re: hood struts

Yes the struts were an overall easy install and they work great......The wheels are A-tech Erasers .. however they do look a little like the ssr type c

BigMoeTaki42 01-26-2005 12:42 PM

Great lookin car man! Love the wheels

Rayden2001 01-26-2005 12:53 PM

Nice job, I like the pic of your car in the ditch:p That had to suck since texas rarely gets weather like that. I get 5-6 months of that crap here:mad:(Chicago)

Michla22 01-26-2005 10:52 PM

Yeah the ditch did suck - i hit the gas too hard and then over corrected.. First time i got to use the toe hitch in the front... hehe it works well... wrecker wenched me out... Luckily i had no damage other than frozen mud wedged in my wheels.

CLS 01-27-2005 07:07 PM

I like those wheels also. Where did you get them at? I did some searching, but could not find much.

Michla22 01-27-2005 11:33 PM

In the US they are sold under the name of MB Motorsports
Weapons......check here
and for those that are lazy - here

These wheels are surprisingly inexpensive - as far as quality - no complaints here :D

nemesisZ 01-28-2005 12:31 PM

what offset are those wheels?

CLS 01-28-2005 05:28 PM

I would like to know some more specs on those wheels. Size, offset, weight...

Dragonstyle 01-28-2005 07:32 PM

looks good...

Michla22 01-28-2005 11:57 PM

Thanks ...
Details on wheels:
Size - I went with a controversial setup - I'm running 18x9 with a 38 offset on all 4.....the back fits fine - the fronts are close:
http://carpron.com/albums/album65/DSC02034.sized.jpg
http://carpron.com/albums/album65/DSC02038.sized.jpg
The tires - i'm running 255/40 on all 4 as well....this puts the fronts at 255/40-18 = 26.03 (+0.06) - stock for 18's is 225/45-18 = 25.97. the rears on mine - 255/40-18 = 26.03 (-0.65) and stock is 245/45-18 = 26.68.
I was worried about this at first but now that i have them , you cannot tell the rear is a little lower....the handling is awsome , it sticks through hard turns - no more plowing....
with the tires on:
http://carpron.com/albums/album65/DSC02093.sized.jpg
This is the front - had plenty of room on the rears....this is also with no spacers. the fronts fit wonderfly with no spacer....they are pretty flush - in just a hair which i like.
http://carpron.com/albums/album65/Image2.jpg
the rears are good too without spacers...they are not as tucked as they were stock...they work good and look good however i'm picky and i think they are in about 10mm - i also want to keep them slighty wider than the fronts - so i'm getting a 10mm spacer for them soon.
http://carpron.com/albums/album65/DSC02127.sized.jpg
I can also fully rotate my tires now too :D

weight - 48.5lbs with tires on them...stock 17's with tires were 50.5 lbs I beleive just the rim alone was about 22 lbs

I'm sure i'll get heat on my tire size from some people but oh well i like them. And like i said it doesn't make the back looked dropped at all , i cannot tell and i looked pretty hard.

nemesisZ 01-29-2005 01:03 AM

thanks man, those are pretty close but ive seen closer. Its comfortable enough for me and the price is just right. I might be getting a set. Just wish the came in a six sploke config.
