the other thing to veilside owners,

did you guys put any autobahn or protectant clear bra on the parts of the kit to protect them from rocks and sand?

if so did you install them yourself and is it worth it?

I originally installed my V1 front lip and the only issue I had was that one of the bolt holes would not line up with the holes on my bumper. I ended getting a few black twistie ties to grab the lip and bumper. Since 5 bolts grabbed ok I figured the twistie ties would be fine. Other than that it was a piece of cake. I didn't get the sides or rear so maybe someone else will chime in.

I ended having to purchase another lip because mine cracked as a result of a mishap and I will be installing that lip next month and will get it clear filmed by XXTuning in E. Hartford. I'm doing this because the lip that I did have one for one year did get some chips on it.

Good luck with your install.

I have the CF lip, and it didn't align at all. But don't worry, what seemed impossible was accomplished one bolt at a time. It was a very tight fit, and I worry the CF would crack, but it turned out OK, all bolts went in.

I have a Veilside 1 wing installed. I'm not all that happy with the product.. the top deck of the wing vibrates pretty bad on the freeway, which is really embaressing. The fitment is great but I think it's water logged. after a rain, when I open the trunk, I hear a ton of water swishing around. Unless it's the hatch, I'm pretty sure it's the wing that contains the water.

I've got the urethane lip and sides (no rear).

First, pre-fit everything to make sure everything lines up and all the bolts align.

Front lip went on just fine. However, I did use a heat gun to warm it up so that it was malleable.

With the sides, I had some minor issues. First, make sure that the pre-drilled holes line up with the existing screws under your car. Also, you may need to buy longer screws (Home Depot). The wings add some thickness and the stock screws aren't long enough to accomodate this.

Also, the bolts would not line up for me on some pieces, so I had to drill out holes to get things to align properly.

Fitment for one of the side pieces was a bit off. Each wing has a strip of mounting tape. On this misaligned piece, maybe only 25% of the strip was in contact with the car. To fix this, I bought mounting tape and doubled it up on the portions that were not touching the car.

thanks 2004z,

i don't see the sides really being a problem, i do have to take that plastic piece off to get the side rears to at least be aligned, its the rear piece that is worrying me,

guys, who ever installed at least the rear pieces, where do you put the double sided tape, and all i see is one hole on each side of the rear lip to attach it to the car, is this right?

help please.

thanks

I've got the same kit in fiberglass but no pre drilled holes, i guess thats better if i wanna make a perfect fit.. A shop in Toronto will fit it and paint it for C$500. I have the front and rear lips but I choose the Esprit side skirts, I think that'll be a nice mix. good luck and lets see some pics.
