too much cf?
what do you guys think? I'm planning on getting the CF B-Pillars / CF OEM Spoiler...
I'm thinking in two years, I'll have the Hood / Hatch and possibly front bumper and paint it so that it fades from paint to CF (don't think it will stay red)
input appreciated
I think the B-Pillars for SURE but the spoiler might either be just the perfect touch to balance it all out or just too much...

do a color fade or two tone with CF accents.
i've seen CF hoods drop in price so if ur lucky u can find one for cheap.. i got mine for $200 new thru a friend.
i'm in the same boat as u. but i painted my side skirts body color. it makes a world of difference.
b4
after
for the hatch, i'm thinking about doing a body color fade to CF for the rear part where i *plan* on reattaching my cf wing if i can ever find a suitable mounting solution to CF-
think the VARIS hatch..
and my fenders should be done soon with vents, which i will paint blue, but leave the openings to the vent in CF... the only thing missing are the doors :P

too me, it looks a little front heavy with the CF on the front quarter panel and nothing on the back. i like the sideskirts in CF, I probably would ahve stayed stock or continued with more CF around the back, i don't know if just a spoiler will balance it out. Nice Z though, very clean

hey Chebosto, i love your ride!~ =)
I'm thinking of getting a Seibon Vented hood (without the middle scoop) because it'll actually help me out b/c of the heat under the hood (TN ST). I gotta do my Sponsor / Supporters roll call on the side and I'm doing that in Black w/ silver accents right above the sideskirt which should balance more of the black... if I had black (or at least GM) rims, that would probably make it 10x better too!
I'd paint it all but I added metal flakes into the paint and the painter that has the exact mixture / procedure is no longer a respectable person... and I don't want to spend a lot of money trying to get it close... why didn't I leave it all the way it was? Vertical Doors messed up my fenders really bad so CF was a pretty cool solution...
I rather look like an idiot with CF fenders than the idiot with paint that doesn't match! LOL
so what do you guys think of that OEM spoiler? It's 149., so I think it's pretty worth it...
Chebosto, are you getting custom fenders made or will they be in production? If you don't mind PMing me the info (or email: Veilside350@hotmail.com) I wouldn't mind getting a higher quality cf fenders! =) Varis makes a hatch with a spoiler support.. its about $1200 though.. lol
http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...or&prodid=1262
"Varis Carbon Fiber Hatch with Spoiler Support (extra strong base is suitable for mounting GT style spoilers - wing not included) $1440.00 / shipping: $175.00"
"Varis Full Carbon Fiber Hatch with Spoiler Support (top and underside of hatch are carbon; extra strong base is suitable for mounting GT style spoilers - wing not included) $2585.00 / shipping: $175.00"
-ilon.

After installing my V/S V1 lip in cf the other day I'm just starting out with cf...but I think it's all about balance. I've got a set of Varis b-pillars coming which will bring some cf back towards the rear of the car, hopefully balancing out the look some.
Fairlady has a lot of cf...but it's pretty well balanced so to me it looks nice.
Does anyone know why Veilside doesn't make a V1 cf rear lip, they have the front lip and side pods in cf...why didn't they make the rear?
side note:
I would like to see the companies that make cf side skirts also make matching lower door panel trim pieces so the doors flow with the skirts a little better.

where in lancaster are you? hehe. i was there for 3.5 years and never saw your car!
ilon-
my CF fenders will look like these:
i bought the stock fenders, took it to a shop to get all cutup and shaped, and dropped it off to my CF manufacturer (Fiberimages) but that was like... almost a year ago. sigh.... if they dont make it. im taking it to another shop to get them produced. or just paint these blue and be done with it.
if u want a hatch. i can probably get you one for less than a G, and it will be WAY lighter than the seibon one...
