If you want bright don't go about 6k. It will give you a more crystal white light with more blue in it. We use d2r.

so the lower the number the brighter?

The lower the number, the more yellowish, but more useful light output (down to our stock 4300k, which is about optimal for output). The higher the number, the more blue-ish the color, so it looks pretty, but also much less light output and more glare, so you'll p!ss off others and won't be able to see for sh!t. The pretty colors you see in BMWs and such are due to different optics used in the housings; they use the same 4300k bulbs we do. Thing is, the newer Maximas have a nice color shifting effect; now why couldn't they have done that on the Z?

MustGoFastR is right. The higher the number the more blueish/purpleish color you will get but you won't be able to see anything at night. Like I said when we were at your place, if you want alil bit more color just get 6000k lights. It will have a nice blue hue and you will still be able to see plenty at night.
