WTF!? I don't even know what happened???
so, i found this piece of plastic on my garage floor...
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1.../IMG_56751.jpg i knew it came from my car, becuase it is obviously painted white:D , i searched around the car looking for a panal that was broken, i had just taken my rear wheels off and had my car on a jack, so i assumed that surely, this piece broke off somewhere under the car... then i saw it!!! http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1.../IMG_56761.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1.../IMG_56771.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1.../IMG_56791.jpg earlier, i remember my girlfriend getting in the car, she opened the door and heard a crack sound, after she closed it, a very loud sound (as if a box fell on my car- i have shelves overhead- got out checked, nothing) so, i think this is what happened- the window rolls up a 1/4" further when you close the door, seals in the cabin, the instant that you pull the handle to open the door, the window rolls down a bit so that it clears the body... i think this mechanism went wrong and the window didn't roll down in time, catching the innder lip of the body, breaking it off:icon20: Has anybody seen this before? I am taking it to the dealer first thing tomorrow morning to get this warranteed (hopefully):icon9: |
man, that sucks hope they fix it
Damn, dude, that's wack. Hope the dealer takes care of it for you.
Never happened b4...but seems like you got some bad luck....at least you're cool and have a PPW :icon17: good luck though man sorry that happened. Let us know what the dealer says.
Im willing to bet the dealer will not warranty it, cause of your tinted windows..Dealers Suck..:icon20:

When I was storing the car, I unplugged the battery and closed the door after, forgetting about the window going down thing. Thank gawd I didn't slam the door or closed it very hard. But it still freaked me out. the door couldn't close because it didn't go down at all.
There was no damage at all. But only because I don't close my car door like some people do. They slam their doors like a monster was trying to get out or something. Good Luck. you might be able to get warrenty because the paint is close to the place where the window would hit if it didn't go down. You might also want to tell them that you found out what happened when you heard the loud noise... not hours later...
