you mean these 6 nuts? How do you get your hand under it?

Acree 05-05-2006 11:24 PM

Chris,

It looks good man! I will try to get pics of mine up in the next few days. I just got finished with the cal2 exam today, so I have a couple of free days.

wow can't wait to see it....i like my black interior but want the frosted seats

Cux350z 05-06-2006 02:49 AM

bubble,

you must remove the center console to get the dash out.

The nuts in the pic are the 6 10mm size, theres 6 8mm one still under there. Thats the problem, you cannot reach the six in the picture, theres no way. So you have to take the 6 8mm off which will free the passenger side upper interior panel and then you can remove the airbag from it.

Bubble 05-06-2006 09:17 AM

you have the picture of the area that has the 6 8mm nuts that you're talking about? i can't picture it in my mind. Thanks

Cux350z 05-06-2006 12:18 PM

bubble, you can see 3 of them here

https://my350z.com/forum/attachment....5&d=1143412842

just above the long yellow tube. The other 3 are on the back side.

hope that helped.

I redid my seats in red and black leather ( a royal pita!!!!!!!!! maybe a 5z DIY) and refinished the strut bar and passenger door handle. Tell me what ya think?

NOT ONE RATTLE either, it went back together well. It feels weird now, i have ac that is directed and much less room inside. Also, an armrest!!!! Cant believe i drove a month without an interior but i love it now. Got a few panels im going to replace, but overall in decent shape.

I am impressed, well done!!

Damn, that looks 10x better on your car. I hope you like it. It just seems to match better.

any thoughts on the seats, like em, keeping them?

Acree 05-12-2006 05:33 PM

The stock seats suit my purposes for right now, and I don't feel like spending money on seats. My next project will be a carputer, then utec, and then nitrous. After all of that, we'll see how the seats fit in with buying wheels etc.

Hope you guys don't change your mind and get it all out again

Anyway, I think it looks better as well. Glad you guys were able to get it together again after I saw those first pics of the stripped interior. I thought: no way they gonna pull it off....

But u did!

clk1022 05-23-2006 10:49 AM

Amazing Job!!! Does anyone would like to swap the interior with me as well? I am in bay area and I have the forst. I am looking for a black one as well. let me know.

lilaznxboi08 05-26-2006 07:08 PM

you should probably check the handbook. they teach you how to do everything for the car.
