im going to be ordering a bcr harness bar pumped. I think its the best in terms of design and aesthetics. What do you want in a harness bar? I found that some of them are very obtrusive and come into the cockpit area, while others come down behind the seats which limits the amount of space you have behind them. The bcr is the best in terms of being non obtrusive etc. Ill try to post some pics.

There is only ONE harness bar currently available for 350Z's, the BCR Harness Bar. A bunch of pics are on my web site: www.BCRLtd.net

And black bars are in stock!;)

B-Unit, I haven't seen your order.:icon44:

Actually Avalon Racing offers their own harness bar and so does Kirk Racing. The Kirk Racing Harness bar is HAWT!!!

USN HM 350Z, the Kirk bar you show is a Roll Bar that has a harness bar incorperated in it's design. Last info I got was that Avalon is not offering harness bars anymore....I may stand corrected though.

B-Unit, I kind of thought that might have been you!;)

wouldnt you like the roll bar with the harness bar though??? at that price it is hard to beat.

EnthuZ Apr 12, 2006 05:28 PM

Well, the roll bar versus a harness bar debate has been fought way too many times already. I'll just say that many people do not want to sacrifice usability for perceived roll over protection. The Kirk bar greatly reduces seat travel & accessibility to the glove box is removed. I also do not like how it's main hoop mounts to the floor pan.

I'm just offering another option for people that wish to correctly install competition belts.:icon38:

you know he wants it for a show car though right?

PumpedVA Apr 13, 2006 05:24 AM

yes just for show and I need my seat to still go all the way back. I am also need this so I can use belts with my corbra seats.

I would love it but with my seats I just dont think it would fit with my seats all the way back

MyV6IsFast3r Apr 13, 2006 05:51 AM

With the Kirk the driver seat will go all the way back, however the pass side wont. I think Kirk does custom work, Give them a call. I got the Kirk bar and it's great.

Mike Wazowski Apr 13, 2006 07:13 AM

yeah one of the guys down here has one and he is about as big as you and fits no problem.

mdracer76 Apr 13, 2006 08:20 AM

Or have Gene at Frederick Nissan build you one like he did for me. I liked the kirk.. but.. not a big fan of bolt in.

I lost.. at max an inch of seat travel for both driver and passenger. Your going to be at HIN in Dulles right Toby? Maybe you can have a seat in my car and see how you like it.

The best bonus of this roll bar is how it ties into the rear STB. I love how I can rotate the car much easier, and control the rear more precise due to the extra ridgidness that the roll bar introduced :)

.. and it looks SICK too :) LOL

thats cool, how you mounted your Nos tank. Im going to build my own, since i have my own tools. I ordered my harnes from summit racing.

Im not using exhuast tubing, using 1.25dia .125thick seamless tubing. Im going to try using my hydraulic tube bender. Depending how im going to make this, i could Mig or Tig it, I have both

Ok guys, took me awhile, but here it is. My harness bar idea i got from the "bcr harness bar" I liked the look and how it mounts. So i went and took sometime and created my own. For me i didnt feel like spending $500 on just the bar itself, so i made my own. I think i spent about $250 and that encluded the a 5point G-Force harness. But i can see how the BCR can be $500, the time and labor. Here is a picture of my bar unmounted.
