Default question about wiring neons?

okay i've wired a neon for my sub box to illumiate my sub. it's wired so that when i open the door either passenger or driver the light will turn on. I spliced the negatives to the door trigger wires which are negative and then i place the postive wire to the fuse box where the dome fuse is. It worked fine for couple days but then all of a sudden my windows wont move that initial time when i open and close my doors.it happens on both sides. so it wont seal again when i close the door. I did some checking and when i unplug the spliced wires from the negative wires on the door trigger the windows work fine??? my question is, is there any reason why it's interefering with the windows??? do i need anything additional w/o just splicing into the door trigger wires?

Or is there another place to tap the wires into that will allow the lights to turn on when the doors are open?? I used T connectors to tap into the wires if that makes any difference. any help would be appreciated...

thanks
nhu

You need to wire them up using a relay. The negative ground when you open the door will activate the realy, but it will have its own power source. The way you are wiring there is a chance for problems.
