Colgan bra question?

Where did you attach the little hook under the wheel well?

Thanks.

I attached the hook to the plastic around the screw on the inside edge of the fender liner. Its at about 11:00 o'clock if you're facing the driver's wheel. Take a look and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Well I just got a Colgan bra about a week ago, the straps that your talking about hook up behind one of the wheel well bolts. What you have to do is tug on the bra to give you some slack to hook the strap then let go and it will snug up tight for you. Hope that helps!

Hi,

I just bought the Colgan bra also, and your tip helped me a lot.

However, does the hook go into the actual metal between the screw and metal?

Thats the only conclusion I can think of....

Thanks !!

On my bra, I removed the screw that everyone is talking about and put the screw thru the circular part of the hook and then tightened it down. It a pain in the *** though.

wow, so each time you want to take it (the bra) off, you are unscrewing/rescrewing it (the wheel well screw)? (I apologize that sounded really bad)

I went ahead and put the hook into the notch between the screw and wheel well metal and that seems to be working ok. I'm still a little nervous tho, so I check it briefly before/after I drive.

Thanks for the feedback !

I will have to look into trying that.

Hi,

I just talked to a gentlemen from Colgan. He told me that you simply put the hook in the little notch behind the screw bolt. Also, he said that you should do this as the first step and pull the bra from the other side, b/c if u pull the strap w/ the hook on it last, the vinyl strap has been known to tear off. The vinyl strap is more of a final safety measure, the tension should not be focused on that area or something...

Just FYI.
