Just got some CF A&B-Pillars Made see pics
Hey everyone, I just had some A&B-Pillars made by Mr. Tonester aka Anthony. He took the time to strip, prep and CF wrap my A and B-Pillars for my Z. And once his work was done, I had them Clear coated to protect these delicate bad boys. Perhaps some daytime outdoor photos would work better, but as you can see they line up perfectly since they are my original OEM trims pieces, no fitment issues.
I included some pics which I took this morning in my work garage. I was very happy with the finished product.
See for yourself.
BTW, I already had a CF Fuzion Hood and Seibon Hatch mounted. I was just waiting to get these pillars made up to make the car look complete. The 2x2 weave on the Carbon Fiber wrap matched exactly with what was already on the car.
Excellent workmanship. Highly recommended.
Just a quirk about this pic. Those lines do not show, it was a glare.
Always appreciate some feedback. Next I think I have to wrap the mirrors to make it look complete. IMO they kind of stand out. You be the judge.
Thanks Tony! Great Job!

The gap is very close to stock. It is aftermarket, so unless you carbon wrap the OEM hatch, I don't think it would be much closer. Anyway, all of the seals are mounted, so no worries about water infiltration. Plus you wouldn't save on weight, which was the whole point to start with. It would have been even more of a weight saving if I went with the lexan instead of glass. But I didn't like the look, or loss of rear defroster function.
