No, the point of having a carbon fiber hood(or any carbon fiber part) is weight reduction. To me it looks tacky in most cases, but I can't speak for everyone. Besides, there's MUCH better ways to spend 600+ to make the car faster than a dry carbon hood.

And if you were going to spend more money to get dry carbon to save weight it'll cost way more than $600, you wouldn't save much weight, and nobody does this.
