If you want the weave to show, i think a candy coat should be good.

yes you can...clear as day. you must use a candy clear without the silver base coat to see the weave.

Remember, Abishop, people with black cars have been putting CF hoods on their vehicles for a long time, and nobody thought that the hood had to match the body exactly. That's kind of the point of having a CF hood, so it's eye-catching.... BLAH BLAH BLAH
No, the point of having a carbon fiber hood(or any carbon fiber part) is weight reduction. To me it looks tacky in most cases, but I can't speak for everyone. Besides, there's MUCH better ways to spend 600+ to make the car faster than a dry carbon hood.

LOL. I'm guessing you have little to no experience with carbon fiber. first of all, our stock hoods are already very light. You will save almost no weight by switching to carbon fiber. And if you were going to spend more money to get dry carbon to save weight it'll cost way more than $600, you wouldn't save much weight, and nobody does this.

I personally think a black car with a red weave hood would look good, or a candy red coat put on top.

I was speaking in general. And it looks you have little to no experience with comprehension. Thank you for proving my point in saying that CF hoods are a waste though.
