haha holly sh!t!!! that's freaking crazy

IcW@TeR Jul 12, 2007 08:28 PM

yea if that car moves under it's own power i'll be suprised, and unlike lambo doors those have gotta add about 500 pounds to the car. oh and i think it will be a cold day in hell when you see those on anything other than a prototype car let alone a sports car with minimal ground clearance.

chriskabobbers Jul 12, 2007 08:33 PM

that's hideous

saqib55 Jul 12, 2007 08:35 PM

actually those were on the bmw 1 a while back in europe, and that was a 2 seat convertable, basically a old z3/z4

"In addition, I have recently been contacted by an engineer who worked on this car. He noted that this car had at least $250,000 spent (in 1995) on the development of the drop door mechanism. In today's dollars, that is approx. $500,000. This is truly an engineering marvel."

what a bunch of bs

terrasmak Jul 12, 2007 08:54 PM

Looks pretty rough around the edges and I would never do it to my car, but +1 to innovation and trying something different.

I am intrigued by it, however, I don't think that I would ever put something like that on my Z.

Seel Jul 13, 2007 04:12 AM

I think the concept is pretty cool but I don't like the look of a car that is doorless. Reminds me of a junkyard. I wouldn't Lambo my doors out but it would be cool to see something a little different.

Nor would I, but I would sure encourage the owner of any car that parks next to mine to invest in them.
