Default Colgan!

I say Colgan all the way. Cheaper than the Nissan one, with more coverage.

I don't use it daily, but it is key for road trips. In hindsight I'd like to have the mirror covers for long trips as well, as they got pretty hammered with bugs. Check it out after 2700 miles from L.A. to Florida:

Westby i like the CF look, looks a bit more textured and leather like than the standard pattern. But do u have ne close up pics?

hahaha reen that image is worth the cost alone. Id b spewing having to polish all those bugs off. I think u should grab the mirror bras, they look good and protect pretty well. Need a windscreen bra now LOL

Yes, Definitely Colgan all the way, the only thing sucks is that I had a hard time fitting the top piece to the hood!! I even had to modify it a little on the inside in order for the hood to close!! But just got back from a long trip to New Mexico over the Memorial weekend, and My car came back with no dings at all! If I hadn't drove in a rain , the car would of still look clean the same day that I left!! and even with the light rain, I was really suprised that the inside was still dry after I got back to Dallas!

From the pics, there is definitely less coverage than the Nissan
bra. The biggest difference is the fact that Nissan bra flows up
the front fenders. Can't tell from the Colgan pics either, but it
looks like your side markers are exposed. The Nissan bra has
clear plastic sewn into the bra which shows the markers nicely,
but still covers them.

The Colgan looks good anyway.

There are clear plastic covers for the side markers on the Colgan bra. Also, as far as the durability of leather vs vinyl, once the bra is stretched, it doesn't require as much effort as the first time to install or remove the bra. You won't notice that it'llbe stratching over the bumper, rather, it'll have a nice, tight fit. I've never had any problems with wind flap or leaving it on when it was wet (on accident, of course). I'm sure a leather product would be fine, but why pay all that extra cash when several companies make a quality product?

O.k. - Here goes some pics of the Nissan bra. Car is garaged
due to our beautiful weather in Toronto, so apologies if they are
a bit dark.

1st pic. (hopefully this works)

Cool lookie there

Ah, I didn't know the Nissan mask came up the fenders that far.

Maybe get the Nissan mask and the Colgan hood piece!

yeap thats what im thinking, but do u think u can buy just the Colgan hood piece on its own? Im gonna go for the Nissan bra, mainly coz it covers the fenders alot better than the Colgan. If i cant get the Colgan hood piece, i could always have one fabricated, it appears to be a pretty simple cut piece

I have the Nissan hood piece but didn't put it on. You have to buy
it as one unit I believe. I have the 3M on the front qtr. of the hood which doesn't make the hood piece all that useful.

The Nissan hood piece is almost an exact replica of the the Colgan.

Ahh sweet so its exactly the same as the Colgan then, just with more protection for the gaurds. Well thanks guys for all the replies, ill think ill save some money in fabricating a custom leather bra (hardly ever use mine as it is now) and order the genuine Nissan mask from CourtesyParts.

Thanks, Sam

Default FYI...

The Nissan Nose Mask DOES NOT have a hood piece. It integrates extremely well at the hood seam with a lip over the hood edge.

This thing gets easier to put on every time I use it! GREAT fit!

I have the Nissan Bra and in the box came the piece to fit across
the front bumper as you see in the pics, and a separate piece to
slide on over the actual hood - thus it does have a hood piece.
I have not bothered to put it on so I am assuming that it is the same
as the Colgan. Perhaps you're arguing symantics here - lip vs. piece?? - same thing imo.

okay, i have decided to go with the Colgan. Now I am not sure about black versus carbon fabric. I have a silverstone. What does everyone think?
