But atleast it's on the driverside, if it gets stolen I'll notice right away the next time I get in the car.

So, after reading this thread and loving the way the other antennas look, decided to get one. Called the dodge dealership and asked for a 2008 avenger rubber antenna mast. They had one left and priced right at $5. Fits great. Only problem is that it has the extra rubber spiraling up the mast. I am going to give it a week to grow on me or replace it with something else. The guy said that manufacturers are starting to do the spiral for wind resistance. Who knows..

Not to continue the debate or anything, but somebody said about hacking off a couple of threads on the RDX antenna to make it fit with no gap? It doesn't work! I did that to mine right after I bought it, and I think it's just something to do with the design of the base that it will not get rid of the gap.
Just to let you all know...

Acura RDX antenna for the Z
The RDX antenna fits the 350z perfectly. No space or gap and very easy to install. This is what the Z's antenna should have looked like in the first place. Put mine on yesterday, looks awesome, only $10 at Acura.
