Default Airbags Removed

So I removed the airbags and the steering wheel is now locked? I am confused, is it because the airbags are removed? I tried for about ten minutes to unlock the steering wheel and couldnt get it. Is there something I am missing?

Yes airbag removed, have not taken off the steering wheel yet, it will be done, just working on parting out he car. This is going to be a long process so, no hurries to buy parts until I figure out what everything is going to be....

you maybe already tried this, but have you tried to start the car to release the anti theft lock? or even just put the key in the ignition in the run position. maybe you unknowingly turned the wheel and locked it when you took off the bag?

I think that may work, but there is no engine in the car, no tranny, no battery, no nothing at this point. I tried to put the key in the ignition and fiddle with it and no luck. That is why I am thinking there is something to do with taking the airbags out????? I am at a loss and anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated!!
