bad fit INGS
I just orderd a ings replica front lip and i got it at my house and the damn thing doesnt fit...I spoke to the seller and he mentioned that they al require modification....WTF....I only paid 260 shipped for the lip so i dont know if i cheaped out on a ings replica lip made from some white fiberglass...But, do the more expensive ones fit better...Or should i just suck it up and try to custom fit it...

Mostly, authentic kits fit nicely, and there are replicas that fit nicely as well. But the word "modification" cannot be thrown out.

Dude, you scared me! Your thread title made it sound like real Ings parts with a bad fit! Since my Ings cf hood just came in Monday (I'm out of town till tomorrow, so haven't seen/installed it yet), I was about to freak out! I'm sorry to hear about the poor fitment, but I'm glad it's a replica part and not the real thing!

Usually it's better to pay more for the real thing so you only have to pay for the painting. If you get a replica you may get a piece that fits well or get a piece that the body shop has to do a lot of work on which ends up costing more money than expected. There are links for real body kits on this site.

Yep some knock offs will do that to you.
Next time I highly suggest research, or buy a part off a member that has already been installed, so you know that it will fit no matter what.
Don't know much about lips, but I think $260 for a lip is kinda high.
Try Shines Vertex lip I think it's pretty cheap, and Shine has pretty good quality.
Bought all my aero parts off of them, and I am a repeat customer.

The only reason i bought the replica was because up here it takes a few months to get a real ings lip...I just didnt want to wait...But, can a body shop fix this..I dont mind spending the money to fix, but it is possible correct..I just hope it doenst look cheap.Or lopsided

well, ill the shop wants 500 to paint my front bumper( stone chips) and install the lip...So its not tooo bad...But, if the shop cant guaranteee me that they will do an amazing job, i will return the lip and take a store credit. Maybe even order a REAL LIP
