is it even possible? the upper canister basically sits up inside the bumper with this exhaust. you could cut the rear bumper but i dont see how you could "tuck" it without melting the plastic.

jmaestre23 09-15-2008 03:11 PM

yeaaa prolly wouldnt work thanks for the info

Nexx 09-15-2008 03:19 PM

how about you use some painters tape to try it out and post pics for us? :dunno:

cbeneke 09-15-2008 05:01 PM

I'd def be curious to see it. I'm looking to get the bassani exhaust, but I've only seen the bumper tuck on exhausts with dual canisters. I think it looks amazing on those cars because you can see the pumpkin. With the Nismo, Bassani, or other similarly styled exhausts, I don't think it would look as good. I'm still curious to see pics though, so post 'em up!

^ i think you see this mod on single exhausts more than duals.

yeaaa but it does look good on an hks sooooo clean

cbeneke 09-16-2008 06:10 AM

It's a necessary mod to the stock bumper with a single exhaust IMO. I think it would look cheesy to have an empty exhaust cutout. Not necessary with an HKS or similarly styled exhaust, but does look very sick.

^+1, but it's pure sex with some exhausts.

or some just find pic of what the bassani exhaust looks like from the rear (before rear bumper is put on) to give us an idea.

Rear Bumper Tuck Questions Thread

Hey guys i was wondering something how do u do the Bumper tuck 2 a 350z

lgear080 10-07-2008 05:44 PM

If you get a process down... I want it too.
Gotta show off the stainless.

Spork 10-07-2008 05:59 PM

You know where the screws/bolts hold the supports at the bottom of the rear bumper?

All you do is unbolt these, fold the bottom part of the bumper back, and bolt it into place. You'll have to drill holes in the bottom portion of the bumper.

I can take a pic of my bumper tuck tomorrow.
The pic basically can tell the install, very self-explanatory.
