AIR BAG COntrol module (air bag light blinking)
I have an 03 350z touring with 50k miles on it and my air bag light is flashing. I took it to dealer and they said they couldnt cover and to call nissan corporate. Well i tried that and they also denied my claim. The dealership wants 575 to fix it and i was just wondering if anybody has had any luck fixing this your self. IF its possible just to get the part and do it yourself or fork over money to dealership. I dont really have 600 right now during the holidays and am looking for alternative ways to fix this. I think they said something about the air bag control module but not sure.
 |
Was your car ever involved in an accident?

I had the same issue and dealership reset it once (came back on) and reset it again (didnt come back on) but they replaced the module anyway. Warranty FTW

NO , no accidents. I guess i will pick it up and try the reset thing if it doesnt fix i will have to bite the bullet sometime next year.

i just received a recall on that exact thing for an 07, my air bag is lights not blinking but what the hell might as well do it before warranty goes

I also received the factory recall letter for my 07. Took it in and they checked it everything was ok. If something is wrong the guy told me they replace the entire passenger seat.

I have an 06 with 50k no accidents and I am having the same issue with my air bag light flashing. I took it to a guy that i know has a computer reader and he said it was something with the passenger side air bag module?(something to do with a short?) I was wondering if there might be a recall for 2006? Any recommendations?
