Black Rubberized paint interior scratching off. SEE THE FIX HERE!!!!!!
The black rubberized paint is scratching off on the interior of my 2006 350z GT near the inside door handle, and also on the center console flip lever.
This is the fix:
http://www.kpg-industrial.com/produc..._undercoating/
Duplicolor rubberized undercoat sku # 2691660101 from Walmart
Distributors:
http://www.kpg-industrial.com/wheretobuy/sc (replace the "sc" with your state two letter abbreviation).
Be careful with the application of it: perhaps spray some into a cap or something and apply it with something else, a finger, or a swab. Let dry: voila!

I have an 06 and scratched my plastic door handle with my wristwatch while adjusting the seat. I replaced it by ordering the same part (in Frost) from an online OEM parts dealer. I was charged 45% of what the dealer was asking. It pays to shop!
I doubt painting the door handle would last. It's a very tender part of the car...especially if you are married.

The dealer wanted $120 just for the part...I got it for $55. I had the dealer install it when the car was due for a scheduled maintenance visit. To their credit they were good about it and didn't charge much for the install.

I had a professional body shop paint mine, they had to hand sand
down the panels down to the plastic and get all the factory black
coating off, then i had mine primered, painted several coats silver to
match the color of the interior door handles and had clearcoated several
coats-had it done about 6-7 months ago and looks perfect since.
eventually i am going to have the switch bezels on my steering wheel
done the same way(coating is peeling/scratched on those)

Chipped interior paint
I had the same issue on my '06. I just bought it and the previous owner chipped up the the door handle paint and the paint on the botton on the flip up center console. I took it into the dealer and they replaced both parts under warranty, no questions asked. Makes a huge difference!
