new front end?
so this morning my fiance borrowed my car to go to class. needless to say she got in an accident. :cry2: thankfully it wasnt her fault and the is a semi competant driver. she was able to avoid a head on collision and swerved to deflect off the front end of the other vehicle. i need a new front end fender and headlight.
i was thinking of paying the extra cash to get a tourenn front bumper. do you guys think this will look ok with the stock side skirts and rear end? I thought it will look clean but may wait to do my taxes and see what extra money i have to work with to do the full kit. all input is appreciated thanks. http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv203/emtz2773/1.jpg |
just do a full kit..
|
^^ +1 on the full kit.
or just swap out the fender, get another front bumper, paint it and go all out on CF! =] |
He doesn't exactly look like a huge CF fanatic. :dunno:
I think a mild front bumper can be pulled off with stock side skirts and rear. I say go for it, it won't be substantially more expensive than OEM (if any). With tax returns coming, try to go for a full kit though if feasible. If you want to stay on the cheap, get some spacers for your wheels to make them a bit more aggressive to compliment the mild kit. |
yeah im not too big on the cf.
talked autocraft. didnt think they would work with me to uprage but they will. going to pick up crappy rental tomorrow morning.....suck! do my taxes this weekend and see how much i have to work with then check in with the shop monday to order parts. prolly gonna get the full tourenn body kit thanks guys |
Just be sure to research the kit you are getting before pulling the trigger. If you simply go by what's cheapest (initially), the bodyshop will more often than not have a lot of extra expenses getting the kit to fit properly and look right.
If you're looking for a mild setup, you could also check out the MSA Type 7 kit that The Z Store (forum sponsor) is currently selling ($750 + shipping, about as cheap as a quality kit can cost): https://my350z.com/forum/body-exteri...50zsource.html http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PR...z02a01/50-1705 http://www.thezstore.com/store/graph...arge501705.jpg Apparently fitment is great and also the front is made of urethane which is much harder to break or crack than fiberglass. The kit is modeled after a Nismo model that was never brought here to the US (not even sure if it ever made it to production to be honest). Mild kit, would probably look decent w/factory wheels. I admittedly don't know much about the Tourenn kit, but it appears to be a mild version of the Nismo V2 front bumper. |
If you don't have any plans to get PROPER OFFSET aftermarket wheels, I can't suggest any kit. Bodykits just don't look right without wheels to match.

I'd say get an origin kit, great quality at a great price... even if you just get the front bumper.
