I just made my appointment with a certified installer for Friday. He does work for the local Lexus Dealership and he is the only installer within 50 miles. Went to the Lexus showroom to check out his work. Looks great except for the line across the hood - guess I can live with it.

Getting the bumper, 24" up the hood and fenders - also the mirrors. Price - $650........the guy would not come down either.

Thanks for all the input!

Well worth the investment. There's a graphics guy on SR 619 up in the Portage Lakes area that's an installer, but you can save $400-500 if you can handle the job yourself. I did mine myself and other than a few very minor flaws am totally satisfied (OK, I'm **** - sue me). The install was fairly challenging so your confidence level in your skill set should determine whether or not you tackle it on your own. Also, if you're up in the Lakes area anyway, Fred Martin Nissan (S. Arlington Rd.) uses this same graphics installer and you can usually see examples of this guy's work on the lot or showroom floor. Good luck.

DO any of you have this done on any aftermarket body kit? Or does non factory paint not have as much of a problem with chipping?

If so I think I may get this done if I can find a place in MD when I get my kit.

Yup - Rick's Auto accents is the guy. So apparently he does work for the Nissan Dealer as well. I am **** about my cars too - that's why I do not want to do it myself.

Well worth the $$. I think it cost $900 to get the bumper, 1/3 hood, 1/3 fenders, mirrors, key area, gas cap area, and kick panels done with the 3M stuff.

DO do your homework though. It's like applying tint. You can get a fabulously professionally done job, or some shops can hack it up especially around where there are openings (like the front fascia). If there is a mess up, INSIST they redo it on their dime. Shops want to build future business, so they should redo a section versus you telling 10 friends and the interwebz that said shop does a horrible job.

What if you have a body kit? Do they custom cut it to fit? I also heard that they cut it while its actually stuck on the car, which ends up cutting into the paint as well. And you dont see it until you remove the clear bra. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I'm putting it on my bodykit next week. There is no difference in process. It is custom fit to the car, so it doesn't matter if it is stock or aftermarket. I don't believe it cuts into your car at all, and I believe it is cut while OFF the car, not on.

I had the Stealthshield installed on my wife's new white G37S a couple weeks ago and wish I would have had it done on my Z. I've got an '07 with an aftermarket Chargespeed body kit and even though the cars only got 8500 miles on it, the front still looks jacked to me. The dude that put it on my wife's G said he'd probably have to cut it out custom but that it wouldn't be a big deal. I'm very happy with the way it turned out on her car.

I got mine put on same week I bought the car. Bumper, 1/3 hood, 1/3 fenders, and mirrors. Guy did an awesome job, and it really is great. I can't imagine not having it. I believe I paid around $500 for it when it was done 3 years ago.

I will never own another car without putting one of these on it.

^ +1,000! I put mine on mine when I bought my Z brand new. I just got my hood and lip painted and applied it on after a month so that the paint can properly cure.
