Bat's overlays with flat black Axis Shines

Crap quality but you get the picture, figured I'd share. Just a lil something. Rest of the mods are sitting in the garage waiting for better weather.

Looks nice, how much were the overlays for front and reverse lights? interested in these :)

could you post more pictures of the headlights as well please?

4NTOY II Feb 20, 2010 11:07 AM

For front and rear overlays is was about $30. I have to admit, it took him far longer to ship them out then expected but he did keep in contact.

The headlights are actually painted, I had them done by Lightwerkz which is located in NJ. I opted for them because they were within driving distance, so I could drop them off and pick them up, saving on shipping time and cost. They did a great job for a very reasonable price. Ive since disconnected the LEDs, did it just to see if I'd like it, not feelin' em, don't go with my overall look.

Actually powder coated. I originally had them with their original finish, on my Chrome Silver 04 but the lip became pitted due to salt corrosion. Would have been to expensive to refinish them so I powder coated them flat black. Flat color hides virtually any imperfections, black is much harder to keep clean tho. If your lip is still in good shape, I'd say powder coat the spokes flat black and keep the polished lip, that'd look great!

They're going to look a whole lot better once I put on my suspension mods. :icon9:

Not a bad idea my lip is in pretty good shape couple of small dings but nothing big at all. I think that would look great or a phantom look to them like the new volks. Who knows now you got me thinking lol.

What suspension mods you goin with?

I have Tanabe NF210 springs (1.25"), along with rear Ichiba rear chamber kit. Still contemplating new shocks or keeping them stock. Ive been told I don't have to roll the fenders but I can't see how I can get away with not doing it.

Get_Zwole Feb 20, 2010 01:37 PM

i wouldnt think you would have too. Tanabe's are probably what im going to be going with too. Tokico hp's are very nicely priced and work great with 1 to 1.5 inch drops. Probably the way im going to go as well. post up some pics when you get it done. How big are your tires on the back?

285 in the rear. My tires sit flush with the fender now, 1.25" drop will not rub however I can imagine if I hit a dip in the road theres the potential for the tire to hit the fender. Id like to avoid rolling the fenders, its just one more thing Id have to worry about and theres no one in the area Id trust to do it. So I'd have to rent the equipment thus prolonging the whole process.

^You can actually do it with a heat gun and a cheap baseball bat

Thats so ghetto. Im deathly afraid of crackin the paint or heating it up too much, which would cause the paint to run. Im not an idiot, I, fairly handy, but its very risky... ehhh.

Get_Zwole Feb 20, 2010 02:52 PM

^ha i would be too. Yeah i can see what your saying. Hope not, i cant wait to finally get mine lowered ive been saying im going to for like a year now lol. I just havent driven the car as much lately and finally have some time to dedicate towards it. Good luck man cant wait to see if finished.

Well aware, thank you.

Think Im going to have the springs put on this Thursday and hope for the best. In process of ordering to bumpers and sides but still not sure exactly what combo I want to go with...

fakejojo Feb 21, 2010 08:00 AM

Nice wheels!

Were you able to find the Axis Shines in 10.5inch rear wheel width?

Or are they the typical 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears?

Thanks!

Jay'Z Feb 21, 2010 08:06 AM

How did you order from bluebat? I'm not getting a response on here or his email.
