Front Bumper damaged

Front Bumper damaged
It’s been a bad week for the Z. First I had a rear wheel bearing go bad then Sunday I hit some debris on the Interstate that destroyed the lower section of the bumper.
These seem to be my options…
1) Buy a new bumper and get it painted. The problem with this option is that I’d be real tempted to get the hood painted too. It’s got a few rock chips and dings so it could stand to be redone. $$$$
2) Find good condition bumper already painted Daytona Blue. The possible problem with this option is that the color may not match very well, that would mean repainting so I’m back to step #1. $$
3) Get a front spoiler that covers the damage. I recall seeing pics over the years of front spoilers that also cover that horizontal section under the grill. I think the Nismo V1 and the Mines do this. $$
I’m leaning to option 3 right now. I’d appreciate any suggestions of those spoilers I should look at the do the same thing (cover the damaged area). I’m looking for something either CF or black/grey that I don’t need to paint, I just want to bolt it on to cover the damage for the time being.

I've got the same luck, although I've hit road debris twice. First time I left it like that for a year, after that I had the bumper repaired, painted, and a clear bra put on. One month after I got it back I hit a 4 foot long piece of retread.
So now I've got a crack through the lip, a puncture hole through the bumper and many scrape and scuff marks.
I'm going to be going with a new bumper, but only one made of urethane or the shine composite flex material.
In your case I'd probably just go with a lip that covers the damage, the overall cost of purchase and paint will be much less. I wish I had this option.

DavesZ#3, have you consider the Veilside V1 or a replica of it? It looks similar to the Mines and its a ton of a lot cheaper. I'm running an EVO-R V1 replica.
Here's a better picture of it on the front end of my Z for you to see if it'll cover up the damage on your bumper or not.

I had a similar issue to yours Dave and I bought a VeilSide V1 lip in carbon fiber and it covered up the entire bottom section of the stock bumper that was badly damaged.
I paid about $450 brand new for it but you can get it for less if you buy a replica or a used version.

Thanks guys. I ran across that one while browsing http://nissan350zbodykit.com/ and it caught my attention. There are a few that seem to have that basic style I'm going to check into.
I assume the one in the picture above is not CF but plastic. Is that painted flat black or does it come that way?

Well, it looks like my concerns about EVO-R are coming true....

... I guess I'm going to have to look at more expensive and complicated alternatives, i.e. the real Veilside front lip. The big problem there is that I'll have to pay to get a CF one clearcoated or the FRP one painted.
