Please help with driver's side door handle, link to dia
 

Well my outside door handle no longer works and I have to use the key fob to open the window then open the door from the inside. I took off the round rubber pieces inside the door that cover the 2 10 mm bolts so I could have a look inside. the rod that goes down to the Lock assembly appears to be intact and when I pull the putside handle the rod doesn't move at all. This leads me to believe that the handle itself is broken. If you look at the diagram below at the handle # 80605 you will see there is a clip attached to the top of the rod. It may have broken at the clip. Has anyone replaced the door handle? Is the clip the probable cause? Do I have to buy the whole door handle and does it come with the clip? Thanks in advance,

You need to replace the whole door handle.

It is one integral assembly. It can be had at the dealer or on ebay.

Obviously buy the one for the appropo side as the pass and driver are different.

+1 , whole handle can be had on ebay from a dealer of oem parts for a mere 65 dollars. The same thing happened to mine, however the person i bought the car from replaced it and installed the new handle in under 15 minutes. easy fix once you purchase the new handle.

Now I have the same problem, door handle not working from outside. Since you guy said the parts cost $65, do you know how much dealer charge for labor ?
