Could you identify this hood on Chris' car?
It looks VERY light.

Looks like a Seibon TS hood design. Only I'm sure it's custom made because that thing looks like it's paper thin.

To me it looks like a stock hood with cut outs. Maybe trimmed the bottom of the hood to make the hood thin.

Either way, I don't think it's something you can buy. That's definitely custom.

lol, this is the TS hood you should have bought from that guy a couple of days ago! looks like the reinforcement was removed to save a 2-4 extra pounds

the stock hood is actually VERY light to begin with...i think you actually only save 2-3 lbs with a wet CF hood, 5 lbs with a dry CF hood (which may actually be what's in the original post without reinforcement).

i held the stock hood and it was not light lol. well iwasn't holding the center.
Tons of vents would lighten up the hood lol

Stock hood is only 20 pounds, wet carbon is 19.5+ , dry carbon is 10-12 pounds. Not much of a weigh saving on any of them.

the std Seibon TS weighs more than stock, at least mine did

weight removed from the top is better than weight removed from the bottom (unsprung weight notwithstanding)

JDMStanced Apr 9, 2011 05:54 PM

buying aftermarket parts that are heavier than stock is never good in my dictionary lol
TS ll has two big vents. i wonder if they are heavier than stocks
