Bat's Headlight Overlay(PICS)

I wanted to cut down on the excessive chrome on the the headlights, so I did a Smoke Overlay over part of the housing :).

How hard is it to get off in case my first attempt doesn't go as planned and I have to start over? Will is peel off over time on its own?

ares Nov 18, 2003 11:31 AM

heh I am having visions of the future threads.

"HELP big scratch in my headlight when cutting the vinyl!"

be careful

mgl Nov 18, 2003 11:41 AM

like how both orange reflectors on the headlight and the bumper reflector now match.

The Vinyl is very durable and lasts a long time. People have told me how well they've held up over the years in harsh weather conditions, and carwashes!

do they come precut?

KrazY-2K Nov 18, 2003 06:15 PM

VERY nice! A much less risky alternative to opening up the headlight housings and painting everything :)

BTW, you guys don't have to worry about Bat. He does very good work.

orhanz33 Nov 18, 2003 08:25 PM

that's exactly how i was gonna paint my headlights...never thought about tinting the outside :icon14: ...if you sell that pre-cut, i'm definately down to buy....spraying is to much of a hassle

Anyone thought of covering the whole headlight?

Would look good on a superblack. Perhaps it would be a good idea as long as it didnt interfere too much with the brightness of the beam!
