So I'm not talking bad about Shine Auto.. I'm just a little disappointed I guess(maybe i got the rotten apple of the batch), and I wanna know if there is anyone else that has the same issue and how did you fix it? I decided to buy some parts for my car and did a lot of research so I decided to get the amuse replicas by shine auto because I read a looooot of good stuff about them but. Now my buddy at the bodyshop emailed me some pics of the fitment and it just not as good as everyone says. So I wanted to know if I just got a bad batch or did you guys do any major work to them? Here are some pictures..

mine were off too.
edit, my drivers side was pretty bad, the passenger side was much better |
Damn that sucks
|
yeah from the pictures my buddy sent me it looks like the driver side is the worst one... i was just so excited to see the final product of my car but from looking at this it just makes me sad and dissapointed.

at the same time, that is easily fixed, .looks like your body shop just painted and installed.. no test fit or body work etc.. too bad.

I also had the same problems with my Shine Amuse sides. For the portion sticking out, I drilled a hole through the skirts and put a push clip to hold it in place. After doing that the skirt and the door was flush.
There isn't much you can do for the front. |
ALWAYS ALWAYS test fit first! regardless of how reputable the manufacture is... sometimes you just get a bad one. I would have the body shop fix it... I mean they are a body shop so it should be fixable.

My set was off too on the drivers side

^^but shine is pretty reputable. Atleast compared to a LOT of others out there. I agree that there should be a test fit first (no matter the manufacturer).
Looking at the pics provided by Steve774, looks like you can make it look pretty good though; at least with the door closed! |

I wonder if shine auto is aware of this.. I mean if they are, they should try to fix it that way it won't leave a sour taste in someone else's mouth who purchases this kit. Again not talking bad about them. But i thought they were going to be better.

Fitment looks good, just need minor work as any fibreglass body kit would.
|
It happens.
Even my Chargespeed Bottomline rear add-ons did not fit perfectly. |
Shine Auto is still a great company. sorry to hear about your situation.
|
mine were also off. I did the same thing steven did and drilled a hole and added a clip
|
a little concerned since these are the same sides I am wanting to go with....but doesn't look like too hard of a fix if the body shop knew/knows what they are doing (b4 they painted them)
