Trying to replace a few interior bits, where to find the pieces?
3 Attachment(s)
I have a couple interior pieces of my 2007 350z touring that I'd like to replace due to wear and tear. Where can I find these parts and how easy are they to replace? Here are a few pics:
Z on trunk brace is bulling up: Attachment 467477 Plastic panel that goes over speaker and around cubbys is scratched up: Attachment 467478 AC vent and black piece by door handle is scratched up: Attachment 467479 |
Wait till you see the prices
Thought about painting? plasti dip? |
I would suggest refinishing them yourself or getting them professionally painted/wrapped over OEM replacement.
Your money would be much better put toward something like this than paying exorbinant prices @ the dealer. Keep an eye out at the for sale section, you may luck out if someone is parting out a car for track duty. otherwise, you can find them at http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-pa...4_715_824.html |
I thought I was picky, your interior is in better shape than my 06

By some of your descriptions, its hard to tell what you are talking about. If you try to paint some of the "black" interior pieces, its a good chance they won't match the others. You could get a full interior kit (CF or other material)and cover EVERYTHING.Basically, start fresh.A overlay kit runs about $350. Its a DIY thing. The Z on the rear strut bar (bulling up?)is sort of common. It appears that Nissan went to another source for this emblem after the initial 03 Z.Its cheaper, prone to have the "plating" start to peel.I'd just refinish the Z after a proper prep. Its basically a brushed aluminum shade. |
Dude would crap a brick if he saw my car, but mine is slowly getting cleaned up. Almost have the majority of the scratches taken car of on the interiour panels.

slidegood.com has nothing but cars that they part out. Just search for your year to make sure the pieces will fit correctly. Ton of z's

Thanks for the info guys! All of the used panels seem to have some type of scratch or scuff. Maybe I shouldn't be so picky about it - I am definitely a perfectionist though. I just had to spend $450 on new rear tires since I shreded one on a piece of metal on the road (only had the car for 2 weeks!), so I better save my money for now anyway.

There's nothing wrong with wanting something to be prefect, kinda hard to desire such a thing with a daily driver. The scratches in my interior bother me too, however I'm gunna get mine repainted instead.

Thank you but the link doesn't work. It looks like it's for a strut cover though. I'm looking for a way to dress up the scratched black plastic around the AC vents and possibly a radio overlay.
|
link works fine.... think it is operator error. i will make it even easier for you
for the actual cover - http://www.evo-r.net/product/Z-Rear-Cover/ or for vinyl - http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Dry-Black-D...p-p/aa2033.htm |
Again, thank you for trying to help but this isn't what I am looking for.
Suggest you read every word of my post sir. |

quit being a lazy ass and look for things yourself, google search is a wonderful tool and if you would click the second link i added for you, it is for CF vinyl wrap that you could use to cover the ac vents and radio area.... https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....5e1963c4fd.jpg all I am getting from your first link is "javascript error". What I would really prefer is to be pointed in the right direction by someone knowledgeable WHO ISN'T A DICKHEAD I read through a dozen how-to threads on wraps. Being new to this, I actually thought the overlay kit was molded. Now I know the difference so I won't be needing any more help. Thanks :icon39: |
if you are getting a java script error then there is something wrong on your computer, and call me a dickhead all you want.....i have been called a lot worse by a lot better
