well i went to home depot after school and got some Blue Loctite threadlocker. after an hour, seems like its on pretty tight. if someone is that intent on stealing it they can probably still get it but it wont be as easy as before.
hopefully they wont be too angry im stopping their fun and scratch the car to get at me

I will officially jinx myself now. I've had my S2K antenna for a week now. If mine get's stolen I'm going to have to decide between all the "insane" options
a. remove each time I exit the car
b. feces smearing..... I guess I would need to carry some in my pocket
c. install a camera to monitor my antenna... only to let them steal the camera
d. find the ugliest antenna so that no one will ever steal it
The decisions that are required of owning a Z are so complex. What to do!

Hmm, how bout lubin it up with some KY? LOL, that's sure as hell make it tough to unscrew without seriously clenaing it firs.t In all seriousness, maybe something like some clear vegtable oil?
Is there any way you could drill like a set screw into it, that requires a tool like an allen wrench to take off? Seems like that would be the most effective.

a story...
Two years ago I had an incident with my 96 maxima. I had clear corner lights/turn signals on the front of the car. There were two peices on each side of the car. The first peice screwed in which a phillips screw and the second peice would pop into place over it. The lights were like $40 tops. I said, screw anyone who wanted to take them, I'm bolting the suckers in. Long story short, parked it for the day, someone tried taking the clear lights, realized after taking the one peice out that they couldn't get to the second and keyed my entire car. So instead of being out $40 I was out $2600 for a new paint job.

Basically, they couldn't get it off, and caused A LOT of damage trying to do so. It would've cost so much less if they were able to just take the **** and not caused extensive damage as they did.

Not in New York in 15 degree weather, with snow and rain coming down often. It's too cold to hand wash as I do in the summer so the car gets dirtier. I put it through the car wash very often in the winter so that it looks clean.
But yea, my Z has taken a lot. At this point I'm just not worrying as much. I have fun with it, and try to care for it as much as I can.

Rather than take preventative measures, think in terms of retaliatory measures. Don't try to secure it since as Yobri said it can result in worse damage. Coat the base of the antenna in something that should not come in contact with human skin. I can't think of the best irritant right now but... you get the idea.
