I came out of one of my college classes a few days ago to find that some punk bent my Courtesy Parts aluminum shorty antenna, had to bend it back into place. To make matters worse, the vandal also decided to cut off the little black rubber strip/band around bottom part of the antenna (see shorty antenna pic at courtesy's website, you'll know what I'm talking about) and leave it dangling. Time to order another one...

I know who took your antenna! Its that damn handa dealer. And they just sell it back to you. Now here is what you do: Go to the Honda dealer at about 11pm or on a Sunday and find an s2k and take its antenna!!! Now you’re even.

Wow, I thought it was just over in the UK that we had these problems (we have the worst car crime in Europe).
We've only had the Z since November, but already have quite a few horror stories of Nissan and Courtesy Z badges being taken, keyings. I guess there are w*nkers the world over (but no in Oz )
I'll have to start calling mine an S2K aerial. Sounds so much cooler than a Civic aerial
Here's something to make you feel better. The S2K aerial over here costs £19 that's $36 at today's exchange rate so at least your replacements aren't as expensive

We need someone with a EE degree to design an antenna that looks like the s2k one, but once removed, requires you hold down a small button inside a hole with a paperclip during the installation or else it mixes in some unacceptable noises and phrases into the radio stream. Sneaks in a "f**k you for stealing my antenna." while he's switching between stations. "Take this antenna and shove it up your azz!!" and then after a short while, it sends down some decent voltage, frying the radio it's attached to.
If it gets stolen, at least you'll have the last laugh.

Yeah I think the S2K aerial sounds better than Civic
Over here is AU$60.00 for a replacement or US$46.93!!
EDIT
Ok just phoned up another dealership and they charge: AU$59.30
Well thats heaps cheaper.

Not sure about this but you might be able to use the silver epoxy that is used to stick some heatsinks to CPUs in computers or some similar thing. Its like 99% silver so it conducts heat and electricity or maybe reception in this case.
Anyone has comments on this?

This should not be a problem if you just keep the screw-in part clean and put the loc-tite only at the very base of the attachement point so the contact points are touching at some point without loc-tite insulating the connection.
