Duraflex Nismo v1 spoiler
So after much searching on here I have not found much on peoples opinions on duraflex spoilers. However I know that whenever anyone brings up duraflex in the context of body kits they are harassed and insulted to no end (And that they never fit right, they are low quality etc.) Now, when it comes to strictly a spoiler I haven't found many threads. So, what is everyone's opinion on duraflex when it comes to strictly spoilers? Also what are your thoughts on their carbon fiber models (they don't even have to be painted/finished right?).
here is the carbon fiber model http://extremedimensions.com/03-08-3...-Type-N-W.html heres the duraflex one http://extremedimensions.com/03-08-350Z-N1-W.html |
I've bought various Duraflex parts over the years, some fit better than others. They all required some fiberglass work to fit perfect. I don't expect any less from their spoilers. If you expect a direct bolt on wing, be ready to be disappointed. If you know how to work with fiberglass and readily enjoy making parts fit, this is the brand for you.

It may or may not cost more going through a shop, probably a wash at the end. I have no idea what your shop will charge you. I would get an OEM one but those are nearly impossible to find now.

You are going to have the same issue i had with my v2. I can't recall if mine is made by duraflex or not but i bought it for roughly 300 and it cost me a little over 500 to get the thing to fit, then came to painting. And let me add it still does not fit that great.
Save yourself, time, money, and headaches and just pay for a nicer one. In the end you will NOT regret it. |
are you stuck on that, not open to other options?

I have this exact spoiler, and love the look of it. It adds perfectly to the lines of the car.
It was already on the car when I bought it, so I can't speak on the installation. ... |
meh
Never been a fan of it. |
i always thought it looked funny
