Default Thinking about buying Duraflex? watch this video!

I just recently purchased a Duraflex kit for my 2002 Is300 and Duraflex sideskirts for a 2005 350Z. Here is a short review on quality and fitment of the product.

I have a Duraflex V2 front bumper and its 98% fit. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I still have to do some miner filling in the front and sand it smooth before being ready to paint. If you have a little skill in fiberglass and body prep you should be okay. Would I order it again? Probably not. But u do get what u pay for, experienced body shop can make it look perfect.

I like the look of Duraflex body kits, but the common fitment issue makes me undecided to get one.

Chaser duraflex etc etc etc.

Even with all the good press out there, most fit like a dog's ******* that's been plagued by parasites from another universe; All kinds of F***ED up.

If you absolutely must have XXXXX fender/bumper etc and it only comes in duraflex I guess you can do it. But just be prepared to pay a lot more to get it to fit decently.

Even siebon (which is "better quality" of the cheaper stuff, and sometimes has the full price tag of high end stuff) can fit like absolute chit.

Agreed... I wouldn't get it if you don't have any skill in Fiberglass work. Stuff is pretty strong for everyday use. It's a little forgiving, I scraped my bumper on tons of stuff and it's still holding up pretty good. Their is a guy on one of the 370 boards that's has a full kit, hood, spoiler and all. He paid for a shop to install it and it looks pretty damn good. I just can't risk a full kit...

Put a vq37 and akebono's in a 350z and you'd have me sold any day of the week. Those z34's just look... fugly lol.

But yeah I think you summed it up well. It's totally possible to get a clean fitting bumper or fender or whatever, but it's a risk. If you can't fix it yourself, then be pre-pared to $$$$. If you can fix any issues yourself, then well decide for yourself lmao.

Yeah you couldn't have said it better. 370s look too feminine to me. Too much going on with the flow of the body lines.

The good news, we stand by our fitment. So if you have some kind of fitment issue. Just get a hold of us if you purchased direct.

I'd say "parasite" is an appropriate description for a company that steals the designs of others…

If you can stand by your fitment I may be ordering some fenders in the next few months.

I have to back up ExtremeDimensions on this claim. I bought a rear bumper from them, and it was warped beyond simple repair.

They requested I submit to them 'field destroy' pics - which I did - and they refunded my money without any trouble.

You guys may be interested to see what I did with an OEM bumper I purchased to replace it: I modified the bumpers myself, and put in a tasteful vent on each side:

I cannibalized some plastic from the original bumper in order to create the inner fin material. About 20 hours of work total.

I'll probably post pics of the finished product; I'm doing several modifications that should update the look of the Z quite a bit.

Thanks very much - I'm hoping it looks as good as I envision once it comes back from paint.

The top row vent is in line with the turn/rear signal opening, and the same size. There is symmetry there.

I'm putting black stainless mesh in the ports, and a whole bunch of other subtle mods. We'll see!
