New spoiler coming to a Z near you!

It's been a hectic month here at APT (we even had to purchase a few shells to do our prototyping on), but at last we are putting the finishing touches on our upcoming spoiler for the Z!

The plug just needs some minor touches, a bit more sanding, and it's ready to make a mold out of. Expect to see a new product coming from us in the coming days :icon21:.

That FD tho...

rustyschopshop 02-25-2016 05:53 PM

Looks very nice, do you have any pics of it mounted so we can get an idea how it really looks? Too me it looks like a median between the ings and rb tail. If I am correct I will definitely be game for one if the price is right.

vtchang 02-25-2016 06:55 PM

Pengu 02-26-2016 06:06 AM

Also price!

jdmfetish 02-26-2016 07:05 AM

also will be able to fit with auto grade double sided tape , for those of us with un-drilled hatches

APTech 02-26-2016 07:17 AM

Hi guys,

Fitted pics will be coming soon.

For those who don't want to drill into the hatch, the spoiler will have a built in ledge on the inside so that it can be installed using only double sided tape.
Those who prefer a more permanent install can use the threaded inserts that will also come on the part to bolt the spoiler on.

Price? Let's see... US made. 100% urethane. Can be installed without drilling. Guaranteed fitment... How's under 300 shipped within the Cont. US sound?

Pengu 02-26-2016 07:31 AM

Sounds good. Need to see it test fitted though!!

jdmfetish 02-26-2016 07:37 AM

sounds great
wish you offered a Carbon Fiber Option so I am out

but if i wanted to paint or wrap it it would be ideal

best

ARRRT 02-26-2016 01:13 PM

craig12895 02-26-2016 07:43 PM

RUNWDVL 02-26-2016 08:00 PM

This would look good with my Stardast...

jdmfetish 02-29-2016 05:04 AM

kinda looks more moonbeam than rocket bunny

savedbygrace 03-01-2016 06:40 PM

Looks good...any chance you'll do more of a duck bill like Al's red 350z on this forum? His custom made spoiler is pretty great...

Not a direct copy, but something very duck bill would sell well I think.

Again, nice work, looking forward to seeing it mounted with paint,

This is how our parts come right out if the mold :)

jdmfetish 03-03-2016 05:01 PM

does all the oem hatch badges need to be removed to install the spoiler , or can they be left on ?

lastly other than cosmetic is there any down side to installing it as is not painted?

The car we tested it on has all its oe badging underneath the part.

Many of our customers run our parts "raw", especially lips with no downside. Put some automotive trim restore on our parts and it almost looks painted. ALMOST.

jdmfetish 03-03-2016 05:12 PM

sounds good

ARRRT 03-04-2016 11:31 AM

Looking good so far...
Post more pics, please!

rustyschopshop 03-25-2016 08:16 PM

wisniaPl 03-26-2016 02:24 PM

It would look much better if you rounded the sides
Its to square for round 350z body

mr. sparco 03-26-2016 08:09 PM

Nice to see new products for the 350z, not sure I can say I'm a fan though.

craig12895 03-28-2016 06:10 PM

I'd like to see more pictures outside and at different angles.

And when will these officially be available?

ARRRT 03-28-2016 11:41 PM

DRELOC 07-25-2016 07:39 PM
