Default Window Problem Please Help

Hey guys so here is my problem. My driver's side window started acting up about 8 months ago so I replaced the motor. Now what happens is the window goes up and down just fine but occassionaly when it is down when I push the auto up it goes up about 1 inch and then goes back down, if I don't use auto up the window won't go up. After pushing the switch up and down the window will go back up. When the window works it works well the motor seems strong. I have done the reset procedure but this has not fixed the problem. I am at a loss for what this could be. I have read about people have the window bounce back problem but this is not what is happening with mine. Also when I open the door the window does go down a few mm and then goes back up when I close the door as it should. If anyone has any idea of what I can do to fix this I would greatly appreciate it. I have searched but can't seem to find a problem like the one I am having. I am also attaching a video.

You may not know this but the Z33 was designed to retract the side window slightly when the door opens. Why? Tolerances are so close, that to get a better air seal on the glass, it rolls up those few mm to achieve it when the door is totally closed. As to your problem, it could be that the window switch itself is defective. Does this happen with both windows, or only the DS?

It could be a defective window switch or motor. Since the motor is new, I'd guess it's the switch.

Re-read the first post. OP says he performed the reset procedure, but it didn't provide any help.

Thank you guys for the suggestions it turns out it was the switch I used one from a friend and the problem is fixed I wonder if I got water in mine like travlee was talking about. By the way I have a silly question now that the switch is fixed does the window lock button not light up? the up/down switches and the unlock/lock all light up but the push button that you push to lock out the passenger window doesn't I can't remember if this is how it always was anyone have an idea about this.

Smile Passenger Window Problems

Changed passenger side window motor on 2003 Z350 Touring Edition, the window will go up and down using the switch, however when window is closed you open the passenger door the window drops down half way and will not go up when the door closes. Will only go up if I reach inside turn Ign. on and press switch.

The window will continually go down each time I open the door until it's fully down or If I leave it open and keep pressing the door sill switch.

I have tried the reset procedures several times, but still the same result.

Any assistance is appreciated
