Default '05 door on '08 car?

Howdy gents. I'm trying to replace passenger door switch panel on my 2008 350Z. I found one on OfferUp from a 2005 and it LOOKED like it would fit but they definitely changed the design between the 2005 and 2008. The guy I bought it from has graciously offered his entire door panel as he is not using it... so I would be putting a 2005 door panel on my 2008.

Has anyone done this before? Any potential issues anyone can foresee? I'm having trouble finding a switch panel from a 2008 sothis may be my only option.

It fits but it's a downgrade IMO. Do you need the switches or plastic panel?

I just need the switch panel, or as Courtesy Parts officially calls it, the switch bezel. I'm just trying to make a few cosmetic fixes before I put it on the market, so I'll go ahead and try putting on the 2005 door panel. My original one is super scratched up as seems to be common with interior plastic Z parts... I swear it's like a gremlin invades my car at night and scratches up everything...

Thank you jhc, I was able to find exactly what I was looking for on that website but for $115, I'd rather just put on the "older" door panel. If I change my mind though, now I know where to look.

Thanks again guys.

I just wet-sanded mine with #400, rattle can Krylon Satin black a few thin coats and Krylon Crystal top coat. Looks like new for $10 and a few hours. It's held up well over 5 yrs.
