Closing doors
I have a 2003 Touring 350z. This is my first time owning a car with windows that are frame-less (like most coupes). When i have my windows all the way down for both driver and passenger side and close them, the doors close with a loud thump. I would expect the doors to close this loudly on a classic muscle car, but for a car that came out in 2003, thats kinda concerning. When the windows are all the way up, it is way less noticeable.
I don't think changing the seal would do anything because i think the noise and vibration is coming from the door when its being closed. idk... |
take the door panel off, and see if anything is loose
|
ie, window track and motor
|
Yes it could be that the window glass is loose from its track, which holds it, and keeps it from vibrating. You could also check that your door latch is lined up correctly. The door should be able to latch/ close with minimal force.
Also, make sure your windows are moving slightly down when opening the door, when they are all the way up. And back up, when you close the door. If not, this could be a window motor issue. |
How's the wide-body coming?
|
sorry for not posting the update for the widebody XD
go check it out on @kaizen.z33 on ig i have several things on my list to do rn 1. fix slight orange peel 2. fiberglassmafia front overfenders are on their way 3. new wheels and tires 4. judging on how high it sits, might order coilovers and even front camber arms thinking about black vinyl wrap as an easy way out from painting the overfenders ... always prefer black on cars |
Black Cars look better in the shade. Ask me how I know ; )
