Paint faded/hazy
I was wondering if you guys know if this is fixable by buffing it out? I haven't tried it yet. I thought it was dirty but turns out its not LOL. Washed the car and it's still there. So,
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....a40123d808.jpg its all around the wheel weld. Looks like sun damage near the top but also theres like a water mark??? https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....d29c3ffb4e.jpg if you guys could let me know what this is (paint faded? sun damage?) that'll be great. |
Looks like clear coat failure (sun, UV, etc.)
But only way to know if it's fixable is to try fixing it with a bit of polish or compound on a small spot. |
Alright. Thank you. I will try that out.

Clear coat is already gone from that area, looks like the paint is also thinning .

I have the same problem that nonexcluded describes. The paint-flawing appeared suddenly this year (2018) on my 2003 car. The fact it happened seemingly overnight makes me believe it is a loss of the clearcoat layer, but that's a guess.
