Z Emblem with LED's?

Has anyone tried to put LED's in the 'Z' that is in the '350Z' emblem on stock Z's? I think I would like that on each side and shave the rest of the emblems, i've seen the circular Z emblems with LED's, but I would like to see how this looks. Any ideas???

I don't think it would look good but everyone has different taste. Still I'd like to see it done, post some pics if you get it done.

I'm pretty sure someone on this board has. I think his name is maple_leaf or something along those lines (I'm probably wrong). He put LEDs in the 3 dots on the door handles, the Z logo in the rear strut bar, the Z logo on the side Z emblems, and I think the rear hatch one, too.

Edit: His name is mapleleaf, scroll down on this link to see his LED work: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....0&pagenumber=3

I would be a little concerned about fitment and leakage afterward. Off of the top of my head I don't see how you would mount the led's and the wires/diodes and hide them without drilling holes in your body panels. When you start drilling holes through the treated sheet metal of the body, I would be very concerned about it leaking and especially about it rusting in an area that you would not see until the rust had creeped out from under the badge under the paint. Then you've got an ugly repair that would need to be done.

The side Embems have 2 prongs ,so there is 2 holes in the side panels already , drill out the front with a small size bit , turn over and widened out the back area to fir the LED's in , Dremel works well , wire the LED's together then I used Urethane Caulking ( Glass Shops will sell you a tube) seled the back side waited till it was dry , fed the wires through the hole fished it out by the door area where the hinges meet , fed it up to the parking light wire it in ( in my cause we out a relay in so when I use the turn signal it flash opposite of the front signal , I also did the same for the door handles:D

It only takes a minute to sign-up and it's free. I'll try to post it on here but the pic was too big last time, so I don't know if it will post or not...
